DIMP –
Distribution Integrity Management Program Register
Overview and Guidelines for Compliance

This two-day seminar is designed for distribution personnel involved in developing and management a Distribution Integrity Management Program according the new final PHMSA/DOT rule for Part 192. The program will cover threat identification, grouping of system facilities for threat management, additional/accelerated actions to mitigate threats, and integrating these with current programs.

 

A key aspect of this seminar will be a discussion of risk management and threat identification concepts to assist in prioritizing operator actions.

What can I expect from this course?

  1. An in-depth discussion of the final rule and how it was developed.
  2. What operators need to do to develop a Distribution Integrity Management Plan.
  3. A review of risk ranking processes to prioritize threats and mitigation actions.
  4. Resources available to enable compliance and implement a program.

Who should attend:

Gas distribution personnel in regulatory compliance, operational or engineering roles.

Continuing Education

On completion of the course, participants will be eligible to receive 1.0 Continuing Education Units (CEU’s).

 

 

Documentation

Participants will receive a detailed set of course notes for reference after the course, plus the AGA Gas Piping Technology Committee’s DIMP guidelines document: Appendix G-192-8 from the 2009 Guide for Gas Transmission and Distribution Piping Systems, and the PHMSA Phase 1 report on Integrity Management of Gas Distribution Pipelines.
