This course is designed for pipeline company personnel in need of either a refresher or introduction to data management for pipeline integrity support and to support the risk analysis process. It will review data model types, where to locate data, how to integrate data from different sources, and how to best make this data work for you.
Course Objectives
On completion of this course attendees will have an understanding ways data can be stored, including a review of industry standard data models; will be able to identify possible
data sources and will have learned methods for review and acquisition of data. In addition attendees will have powerful insight into getting the most out of the vast amounts
of data available to make better-informed decisions regarding risk and integrity management.
Who Should Attend
Pipeline integrity managers, pipeline engineers involved in assessment activities including risk assessment, and anyone requiring a general knowledge of pipeline data management.

Continuing Education Units

Lecturer
Nick Park has 12 years of software product management experience with more than six years specifically in the pipeline industry. As a Consultant and, most recently, Vice President of Technology for GeoFields Inc., Mr. Park is involved in the design and implementation of data management systems for complex pipeline operations, which are currently being used by thousands of individuals across a diverse client base. Mr. Park has an MS in Geographic Information Systems and continues to provide support to a range of mapping and GIS projects.
