Responding to PHMSA’s advisory bulletin on Hard Spots, and the scarcity of practical information, PPIM will feature a session on guidance for identifying and responding to these threats including, data collection, mitigation, and monitoring. Hard spots will have its own devoted session at PPIM 2025.

Geohazards will again be a central focus at PPIM 2025 with four devoted sessions on better understanding strain-based assessments, landslide risk, monitoring and so much more.

Dent Assessment & Management continues to be a hot topic for pipeline operators. Though much needed information has been uncovered about the effects of dents on pipelines, there is still a great need to better understand how to evaluate, analyze and remediate these defects. PPIM 2025 will have two technical sessions targeting this subject.
