THIS NEW training course is being developed to provide a wide-ranging overview of all aspects of pigging operations. From April, 2009, courses will be held twice-yearly at the CTDUT facility adjacent to Petrobras’ Duque de Caxias refinery, near Rio de Janeiro. Initially, the course will use the recently-inagurated 14-in, 120-m long, water- and nitrogen/air-driven test loop at the site, but from 2010 the course will be adapted to use the 2.5-km long 12-in crude oil and and 16-in gas test loops which are currently under construction.
