About the instructorS

Daryl Bandstra, P.Eng and Thomas Dessein, P.Eng are co-founders of Integral Engineering (integraleng.ca), an engineering consulting company that assists pipeline operators in developing and implementing risk and integrity models, and provides cloud-based integrity management software. Over the last 15 years, they have worked with industry committees through PRCI and PHMSA, and directly with many of the major North American oil and gas pipeline companies to improve the safety and reliability of their pipeline, storage, facility, and distribution assets. They have published over 25 papers on defect assessment models, consequence assessment, numerical techniques for reliability estimation, machine learning to support integrity management, and development of reliability performance benchmarks.
